Well for me, I must have baited well because in these last few months Lynsey and I have packed up in England and moved to this fantastic green and tranquil oasis that we have christened Carp and Cats. The suit has been replaced by rubber waders, and the stilettos (Lynsey’s – not mine) went on eBay.
Looking back I remember fishing as a young lad, on the wintry sands at Budleigh Salterton, dreaming of bright blue skies, crystal clear waters, and the heat of the sun on my back and the catch of a lifetime – the Big One! I’m not sure this is what Lynsey dreamt about but it’s exactly what we have found here, in this amazingly beautiful spot. So with my huge passion for angling and Lynsey’s considerable D.I.Y. skills we have created a one-of-a-kind fishing lake with amenities to suit not just the keen angler, but the entire family.

The Carp and Cats lake is a haven for fish. The fishing lake was previously owned by a French family who only used it as a holiday home.
Fishing Holiday
The fishing lake is three acres in size, and is set in around ten acres of beautiful secluded woodland, all securely fenced but with easy vehicle access. The fishing lake is ideally suited to four anglers with a maximum of six permitted to fish at any one time. There is a small island adorned by one of many beautiful overhanging silver birch trees making an ideal spot to fish to. For the less mobile angler, the flat banks are ideal for easy access. All of these features add to the fun of fishing at the Carp and Cats location.

The lake is stocked with the highest quality of carp – all sourced from the most reputable fish farmer in France. There is a mixture of mirros and commons, including plenty of virgin carp. We have a large stock pond and two basins that enable us to keep the fish population at an optimum level for all of our anglers. This will ensure you don’t go short of a decent run or two when enjoying carp fishing France .
